Wide Range of Specially Priced Ticket Packages Offer VIP and Private Box Seating
SAN DIEGO, CA, April 26, 2007 – Promotion Sports, Inc. today announced that individual tickets for the 2007 Acura Classic, to be held July 28 - August 5 at the La Costa Resort & Spa, will go on sale May 14th. The tournament is also currently offering a wide variety of ticket packages for VIP box seats and the exclusive VIP Terrace. World #1 Justine Henin and #2 Maria Sharapova, both former Acura Classic San Diego champions, have already entered this year’s event.
Noted tournament owner Jane Stratton: “Interest in this year’s tournament is already extremely high, as San Diego fans anticipate being able to enjoy some of the world’s best tennis right in their own backyard. Our San Diego fans, as well as those from all over the world, tend to be extremely well-informed tennis devotees who appreciate the high level of competition, and that’s why they come back year after year.”
Ticket packages are currently available in a wide range of prices and seating preferences, from a $70 Weekday or Weeknight Package to the $675 Gold Package offering a VIP Box Seat for every session and the $1,400 premium Platinum Package, which offers an exclusive VIP Terrace Box Seat for every session of the tournament.
Tuesday, July 31st has been designated as Group Day at the Acura Classic. Fans attending either the Day Session or Night Session in groups of ten or more will receive a 50% discount on reserved grandstand seating.
A special discount pre-sale begins April 30th for USTA members and American Express Gold Card members, guaranteeing premium seating.
Free parking for attendees will be available for opening weekend on Saturday, July 28th and Sunday, July 29th.
Now in its 24th year, the Acura Classic is one of the premier events on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour and one of the largest women’s tennis tournaments in the world. Past winners include Mary Pierce, Lindsay Davenport, Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, Steffi Graf and Jennifer Capriati.
