Two out of three is not bad.

The second-seeded team of Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Rennae Stubbs of Australia won the Acura Classic doubles championship for second time in the last three years as they defeated Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany and American Meghann Shaughnessy, 6-2, 6-2.

Black and Stubbs converted on all four of their break point opportunities during the match which took 58 minutes.

Playing on Stadium Court, Black and Stubbs were never broken and erased all three break points Groenefeld and Shaughnessy held against their serve.

The winners split $59,000 for their victory while Groenefeld and Shaughnessy split $30,000.

• Black and Stubbs won their 10^th career tour doubles title as a team.
• This was the first doubles title for Black and Stubbs in 2006. 
• This is the second Acura Classic doubles title for Black and Stubbs. They won the 2004 title.
• This was Black’s third Acura Classic doubles titles. She also won the title here in 2001 with Russia’s Elena Likhovtseva.
• Black and Stubbs won the Wimbledon doubles title in 2004.
• Black is ranked seventh in the world in doubles. She has 25 career tour doubles titles.
• Stubbs is ranked sixth in the world in doubles. She has 53 career tour doubles titles.
• This was the first career meeting between the two teams.
• Groenefeld and Shaughnessy were playing for their third doubles title this year.
• Groenefeld and Shaughnessy have won 27 of 38 matches since beginning their doubles partnership in 2003.
• Groenefeld is ranked 10th in the world in doubles. She has five career tour doubles titles.
• Shaughnessy, ranked 13th in the world in doubles, outs 14 career tour doubles titles.
