Two out of three is not bad.
The second-seeded team of Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Rennae Stubbs of Australia won the Acura Classic doubles championship for second time in the last three years as they defeated Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany and American Meghann Shaughnessy, 6-2, 6-2.
Black and Stubbs converted on all four of their break point opportunities during the match which took 58 minutes.
Playing on Stadium Court, Black and Stubbs were never broken and erased all three break points Groenefeld and Shaughnessy held against their serve.
The winners split $59,000 for their victory while Groenefeld and Shaughnessy split $30,000.
